About Us
Our History
Mr. Orchid who is known as Johnny Martinez has been an entrepreneur since the mid-70s. Johnny was born in Bronx, New York. He went to college in South Carolina and came to Miami in the early 80s. Johnny has always been an entrepreneur. Johnny made his living selling nail polish and perfumes by day and driving a Taxi Cab at night but that's not all; Johnny had bigger plans and became one of the Biggest Christmas Tree suppliers in South Florida during the late 80s through 2003. Johnny had expanded his seasonal business with his father John. Bringing more than Christmas Trees & Toys but; Firework tents all through Miami-Dade County. He did this for over a decade. Johnny being a kid from the Bronx and driving a Taxi Cab in Miami, FL knew how to talk to people. Johnny is the kind of person who makes people believe in magic. Meeting Johnny is an experience in itself. Johnny suffered a horrific accident in the early 90s leaving him in a wheelchair and without his legs. This did not stop Johnny from continuing to reinvent himself. Johnny turned his anger & frustration into drive and motivation. Johnny went on to hosting the Largest Beanie Babies Collection's Show in South Florida, He opened two Water-to-Go stores in Doral and West Kendall, Owned & operated a Century 21 real-estate and brokerage firm. Unfortunately, Johnny kept having a streak of bad luck. He lost his businesses due to road construction and his Father seemingly passed all around the same time. Johnny had lost everything except for his entrepreneural spirit and his immediate family. Johnny's hobbies included all beautiful things, mostly family, animals and natur, especially plants. Johnny moved to Colorado Springs in 2014. There he planted all sorts of seeds and a garden grew. Johnny managed to grow a garden in a state that snows nine months out of the year. He returned to Florida in January of 2016 and it was in that moment Johnny and his daughter, Jessalyn, opened their first business together. Two generations whom share their pure love for orchids and are more alike than meets the eye. This is what life is about. Facing Challenges, Not being afraid to fail, Never giving up and doing what it takes while staying true to oneself. Johnny, much like an orchid, is not difficult to love nor is he high maintenance. Like an Orchid, for it to survive and thrive, it needs love and attention much like people. Mr. ORCHID is committed to sharing the beauty, the secret and the magic which keeps his Orchids the freshest in town. Johnny enjoys engaging with others through his Orchids. Johnny refers to it as therapy for the soul.

- Drive-Thru Service:
Call ahead and pre-order a hand-tailored Arrangements made specifically for you. We will ask you all the necessary questions to make sure your needs and wants are met upon Arrival. Payment? No problem. We take different forms of payment.
Full Disclosure: We may ask for a small deposit to prepare your custom order. (Deposit price may vary approximately between $20-$30). This deposit is applied to your total purchase and is NOT in addition to it.

One of us will be out to greet you & ask 3 Things:
1. Your name
2. Scheduled pick-up time
3. Confirmation number.
At which time we will bring your order to your vehicle & assist in securing it properly for transit.
If payment is owed at the time of pick up; You will have the option to pay cash or credit. (For security purposes we will not retain your credit card information on file at any time; this includes credit/debit card information taken when placing your order OR when securing it with a deposit payment).
Please note: On Pre-Orders unless paying cash upon arrival. Be advised if you will not be paying the full amount prior to scheduled pick-up, have your credit/debit card information handy as we will need to ask for your payment information again. We apologize in advance if this is an inconvenience but we take our customers and their business very seriously. This is why we do not store customer financial information.

- Delivery Services:
Delivery service is currently Limited to Miami-Dade County. We deliver to most Residential and Commercial areas. We recommend giving us a call to inquire if we are currently providing service in your area.
(Full Disclosure: Delivery service cost is calculated by milage, service area, & other fees may apply). This does not mean you will be left unaware prior to your delivery. On the contrary, you will be made fully aware if delivery is available & the fees associated prior to placing your order.
